This Privacy Policy describes how Shatun Brothers (“we”) collects, uses, and shares personal information from homeowners requesting quotes and from professional handymen listing services on our platform. We operate exclusively in Los Angeles County, California.

What we collect

From homeowners: ZIP code, project description, contact preferences, email address, optional phone and name, and any photos you choose to attach to a quote request. From pros during signup: government-issued ID details verified through Persona, optional insurance certificate (for the Insurance Verified badge), optional state license number (for the License Verified badge), and bank or card information for wallet top-ups (handled by Stripe). We do not sell either side's data.

How we use it

We use homeowner data to match requests with relevant pros nearby and to send service-related emails (quote confirmations, pro replies, dispute notices). We use pro data to verify identity, to verify uploaded badge documents (insurance certificate, license number), and to operate the marketplace. We do not use either side's data for advertising on third-party platforms.

CCPA rights for California residents

You have the right to request access to, correction of, and deletion of your personal information. Email privacy@shatunbrothers.com to exercise any of these rights. We respond within 45 days.

Third parties we use

Persona (ID verification), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), Stream Chat (messaging between homeowners and pros), Sentry (error monitoring), and Cloudflare (network security). Each is bound by data-processing terms that prohibit using your data for their own purposes.

Retention

Quote requests are retained for 36 months unless you request earlier deletion. Pro account data is retained while the account is active and for 7 years after closure for tax and dispute records. Anonymized aggregate data may be retained indefinitely for platform improvement.
