How do you check pros?+
Every pro verifies their identity through Persona (government ID + selfie liveness) before they can list. Beyond that, pros can earn optional verification badges by uploading documents — Insurance Verified for a current general liability certificate, License Verified for a CSLB number we match against the state database. Profiles show which badges each pro has earned.
Are reviews real?+
Both sides confirm the job happened before any review posts. Fake reviews trigger immediate removal and account suspension. Reviews are dual-confirmed — the pro and the homeowner each leave one within 7 days, or the review is held.
What if something goes wrong?+
10-day window to file a dispute. Every dispute is reviewed by a human (the founder personally, for now). Decisions are logged and stats published quarterly at /trust-center/#disputes.
Are pros licensed and insured?+
License and insurance are each pro's own responsibility. Where a pro has uploaded a current insurance certificate, you'll see an Insurance Verified badge on their profile; where a pro has supplied a CSLB number we matched to the state database, you'll see a License Verified badge. You can also confirm any pro's license directly at cslb.ca.gov.
