Furniture assembly in Los Angeles
IKEA, West Elm, Wayfair, Pottery Barn, custom. Our LA handymen bring their own tools, work from the instructions (or without them), and take the boxes away. Most assemblies finish in under two hours.
What LA assembly looks like
Los Angeles apartments and condos rarely have elevators big enough for an assembled sofa or wardrobe. That's the whole reason flat-pack furniture dominates here — and the whole reason most LA renters eventually end up with half an IKEA MALM spread across a bedroom floor. We finish what the box started.
Our pros assemble anything that comes in a box: beds, dressers, desks, office chairs, dining tables, bookcases, kids' furniture, patio sets, exercise equipment. If the instructions are missing pages, the pro works from the part inventory. If hardware is missing, the pro often has the right bolt in the truck.

How it works

We route to LA handymen who assemble multiple boxes a day. Quotes within hours.
Most single items take 45 min – 2 hours. Multi-piece orders booked as a block.
Los Angeles specifics
Walk-up buildings: lots of LA's pre-war multifamily stock is three to five stories with no elevator. Tell us upfront if the delivery is already in the unit vs. downstairs — carry-up adds time and cost.
HOA quiet hours: many LA condos have noise restrictions after 8 PM and on Sundays. Our pros finish within quiet-hour rules when they apply.
Tight spaces: modern LA bedrooms are small. If the bed base is wider than the door, we may need to partially assemble in the hallway. Measure twice if you're unsure.
Typical assembly pricing in LA
Pros set their own rates. Single items are priced by piece; multi-item orders get a block rate.
Pricing is informational, not a binding quote. <!-- TODO: DENIS — verify against recent job data -->
Frequently asked questions
Does the pro bring the instructions or do I need to have them?
Keep the instructions if you have them — it speeds the job. If they're missing or water-damaged, our pros can work from the part inventory or pull the PDF from the manufacturer's site.
What if hardware is missing from the box?
Common with flat-pack furniture. Our pros carry a range of standard bolts, cam locks, and dowels. If it's a proprietary piece we can't improvise, we pause the job and either wait for the manufacturer to ship the part or coordinate a return.
Can you help me carry it up three flights in a walk-up?
Yes. Mention it when you request the quote — we price walk-up carry per flight, usually $20–40 extra. Bulky items (sofas, headboards) may need two pros.
Will the pro haul the boxes away?
For most LA jobs, yes — flattened and hauled to your building's recycling. For bulk (big TV boxes, multiple items), there may be a disposal fee depending on pro policy.
What about assembling office furniture at a commercial address?
Yes. We handle single-desk setups up to full office buildouts. Commercial jobs are billed hourly with a minimum.
Can you mount the furniture to the wall for earthquake safety?
Yes — anti-tip anchoring is offered on any piece we assemble. Takes 10–15 minutes; hardware is usually $10–20 if not included.
