For LA handyman pros

LA-only. Vetted pros only. Commission-based, no lead fees. If you're an experienced handyman working full-time in Los Angeles, apply below. We prioritize fit over volume.

Why Shatun Brothers vs. other platforms

Other national marketplaces sell the same lead to 4–6 pros — whoever responds first wins, and everyone else wasted time. We match one job to one pro based on specialty, neighborhood, availability, and review quality. You don\'t race. You get fewer but higher-closing leads.

Our pro model in one paragraph

You join the platform free. We verify LA work history, check references, and watch review quality. When a homeowner books a job matching your specialty + neighborhood + availability, we send it to you first. You accept or decline. On completed jobs, we take a commission (typically 10–15% depending on category). No lead fees. No monthly subscription. No pay-to-play ranking.

Who qualifies

  • Full-time LA handyman — working in LA County 5+ days a week. Not part-time, not side-hustle, not drive-in from the Inland Empire.
  • Three LA references — three jobs you\'ve completed in LA in the last 12 months with customer contact (we call). Moved-from-out-of-state? Provisional pool.
  • Stay in your lane — California handyman law caps non-licensed work at $500 total per project, and some trades (gas plumbing, electrical panels, roofing, pool systems) always require a CSLB license. We route those jobs to licensed partner contractors — not to handymen on the platform.
  • Specialty know-how (optional but valued) — pre-1978 lead-safe practice, senior/ADA install, pool-fence compliance, seismic strapping.
  • Already licensed (C-10, C-36, C-39, C-53, B)? — we want you too, for the licensed-partner pool. Apply with your license number and we\'ll verify.

How matching works

A homeowner in your neighborhood books a job in your specialty. Our system checks: you\'re available in the requested window, you\'re within our geofence for that hood, your review score is above threshold, you\'ve completed jobs in this category before. First match notifies you. You accept within the window (typically 2–6 hours) or it rolls to the next pro.

Job closes → you get paid. We invoice the homeowner (or you do and we true up). Commission is deducted before payout. Payment is within 7 days of job completion + review submission.

Commission structure

  • Standard categories — 12% of completed job value
  • High-volume standard (furniture assembly, TV mount, single-fixture install) — 10%
  • Licensed trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) — 15% (reflects customer expectation + compliance work)
  • Repeat customer — 8% (you saved us the acquisition cost)

No setup fees. No monthly. No lead fees per failed quote. Only commission on closed jobs.

What we give you

  • Vetted leads that match your specialty and geography. No chasing.
  • Scheduling + payment tools built-in. No separate app.
  • Customer escrow — payment held until job completion, no chasing invoices.
  • Dispute mediation — we review both sides, aim for fair outcome, rare escalation.
  • Profile page on our site — reviews, specialty badges, neighborhoods served.
  • Annual specialty cert renewal reminders (RRP, pool-safety, etc.).

What we ask of you

  • Show up on time (within 15 min of window). Communication if late.
  • Honest scoping — if the job is bigger than quoted, tell the homeowner and update the quote before proceeding. No surprise add-ons at the end.
  • Photo documentation — before/after photos for any job over $300. Protects you and the homeowner in disputes.
  • Honesty about your scope — if it\'s past your specialty, say so and refer. We route up to a licensed contractor.
  • Respond to requests within 6 hours during business days. Decline is fine; ghosting is not.
